Petersen Engineering, Inc. is a national leader in sustainable MEP/FP integrated building design with offices in Boston and Portsmouth, NH. Engineers-of-Record for more than 40 large (+/-$25-$100 million) Passive House projects, we are a dynamic small firm (30 employees) that’s growing to meet the rising demand for high-performance building engineering services.

We are looking for an experienced engineer that is as passionate about practical sustainable design as we are.

We have a forward-thinking, friendly, and honest culture and are seeking a can-do candidate that has exceptional client facing skills, has a thirst for learning, and mentoring junior staff with the capacity to collaborate in integrative design processes with industry leading design and construction teams.

  • 5-15 years of experience engineering electrical systems in a variety of building types, multi-family, educational, healthcare, mixed use and industrial preferred.
  • Exceptional client facing skills
  • Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience delegating and elevating junior staff
  • Revit proficiency
  • PE license
