Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing)

Petersen Engineering is seeking to fill a position of Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing). As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, as well as plumbing and fire protection systems. In addition you will be responsible for collaboration with other building professionals on topics of building enclosure performance, energy modeling, building science, and green programs such as LEED. You will coordinate designs within project teams with the goal of providing high quality comprehensive MEP services to our clients.

Requirements: • A strong commitment to sustainable design • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar • Minimum of three years diversified experience in the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and plumbing systems for commercial/industrial buildings • Direct experience in the preparation of contract drawings • Expert level competence in AutoCad and Revit • P.E. or P.E. track candidate desirable.

Autocad/Revit draftsperson (HVAC & Plumbing)

Petersen Engineering is seeking to fill a position of Autocad/Revit draftsperson (HVAC & Plumbing). In this position you will be responsible for the drafting of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, as well as plumbing and fire protection systems. In addition you will be expected to maintain office-wide drafting standards and details libraries. In this position you will have the opportunity to develop design skills associated with high-performance building mechanical systems.

Requirements: Autocad/Revit expert, career track in Mechanical Engineering or similar, 1-3 years building mechanical system drafting experience, and can demonstrate a track record for being highly organized and detail oriented.
