Bunker Hill Housing – Phase 1 (Building M)

Bunker Hill Housing- Phase 1 (Building M) is the first building of the redevelopment and expansion of the Bunker Hill Public Housing Community located in the historic Bunker Hill neighborhood of Charlestown. This project is the culmination of an eight-year community process. This project is the largest public housing redevelopment in the history of Boston and the largest Passive House certified project in North America! The project scope includes the demolition of 1,100 existing Boston Housing Authority apartment units and the construction of 2,699 mixed income residential units, approx. 73,000 square feet of retail/civic, off-street parking, and new public open space.
